Thoughtfully Designed Sno Glo (Pre-Framed and Quick Ship)

Penny, the subject of this photo, was one of my most patient and easy to work with dogs as well as one of the sweetest. She would hold a pose for as long as necessary and even hold her breath if we asked her too. Fortunately, it was not necessary for her to hold her breath or to even sit still for very long for this photo. Sno Glo is a double exposure made with the huge 20×24 Polaroid camera. Double exposures were very interesting to me at the time. It’s a classic photo trick in which two pictures are taken on the same piece of film. In the 19th century, this same trick was used to make spirit photos. I like the way it encourages you to suspend belief in what you are seeing.
